GOD is the Lord, the highest being in all of Heaven, and the one who exiled Lucifer. It is later revealed that GOD plans to finally purge both Earth and Hell once and for all.

GOD is an invisible character and never appears in the anime. Yet, from what little is shown, God is quite cruel and amoral, as She intended to destroy all of humanity, expelling Lucifer from Heaven for being against Her will. Lucifer compares GOD to a child.
Powers and Abilities[]
GOD is in all likelihood the most powerful character in the series, for She is the creator of Earth, Heaven and Hell, plus the Seven Heavenly Virtues and the beings who would become the Seven Mortal Sins.

- GOD is petty and unyielding in Her unrealistic expectations of humanity, demanding perfection and caring neither for the venial sinners – who are honestly regretful – nor the innocent ones. The fact that only some have fallen to the ways of the Demon Lords is enough for GOD to make up Her mind to wipe out humanity and start over again. According to at least Lucifer, this has happened a number of times in the history of the series' universe, and when she sees the goodness in humanity threatened to be destroyed in the current era – including her greatest supporter in Maria Totsuka – she rebels against this pointless cycle, defying GOD and the rest of Heaven. While Lucifer is right that the innocent and the regretful venial sinners have no reason to be destroyed, it is for this that GOD strips Lucifer of power and casts her down, banishing her to Hell.
- It is confirmed in the final chapter of Seven Mortal Sins X-TASY that GOD is a woman, meaning that the only confirmed male of divine presence is the unnamed child of Panagia; by accident, the English translation mistakenly refers to the child by "she" one time.
- It is impossible for humans to hear anything resembling a voice coming from GOD; instead, only bursts of light & energy indicate Her communication, leaving the angels & demons as the only ones able to understand this. Due to that, they must convey the message to others.
- In the events of X-TASY and its connected side material, there is a confirmation of there being "Outer Gods" with the presence of Thylla as their emissary, meaning that the equivalent of the Cthulhu mythos does exist in the universe. Lucifer knows of the existence of these outer beings, and that there is a danger they pose.
